Vincentian Child Discovery Centers

Planned and unplanned explorations are the foundation of young children’s learning. Our teaching staff helps children by both supporting their social and emotional development while also providing a variety of experiences for learning and development. Vincentian Child Discovery Center endeavors to provide a homelike, cheerful, spiritual, and educational atmosphere to contribute to the promotion and preservation of the personal integrity of each child.

Our Programs

Since young children learn through experiencing their world, the children are provided plenty of free play opportunities in addition to planned, teacher-facilitated activities. The classrooms are all equipped with developmentally appropriate toys that will help them to develop skills.

Before & After School Care

The Discovery Center provides childcare year-round for school aged students at some locations. During the school year we offer a variety of programs from before/after school care to kindergarten wrap around.

Summer Discover

Our Summer Discover Camp follows a STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) emergent curriculum with enrichment packages offered, including ample opportunities for field trips and other offsite activities.

Locations

With two convenient locations in Pittsburgh, we offer care where you live and work. Our McCandless location is situated conveniently off of McKnight Road near Peebles Road. The Greentree location is tucked away near a residential neighborhood off of Greentree Road, not far from the parkway.
