Level of Care at Vincentian

Levels Of Care at Vincentian

Vincentian offers a full continuum of care across its portfolio of living options. This includes two independent living communities, two personal care & memory care communities, two rehabilitation options hosted in the long-term care setting and two childcare centers.

Independent Living

Vincentian’s Independent Living is a Type B Fee-for-Service Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). In a CCRC, residents pay a one-time entrance fee as well as a monthly fee for priority access to personal care, memory care, rehabilitation services and long-term care. Electric, gas, water, sewer & garbage disposal are included in the monthly fee. Meal plans are available at an extra cost to the resident.

This type of CCRC provides the lowest monthly fees and often the lowest entrance fees. Residents pay the rate for each level of care as it becomes necessary. For those who do not wish to join the CCRC, there is a rental option available which requires an initial term of 12 months and then 60-day notice to vacate thereafter. Future residents may also come into Vincentian at any level of care on a monthly contract basis.

Personal Care

Personal Care at a Vincentian Senior Community is a pleasant living environment for seniors who value their independence but need a little extra help with day-to-day living. Personal Care residents typically do not require medical care or skilled nursing; rather, they receive meals, assistance as needed, and are offered a variety of social events to help promote an active and rewarding lifestyle.

Memory Care

Memory care, Alzheimer’s care, and dementia care is a specialized program to help residents with cognitive impairment enjoy life to the fullest. Families can rest assured knowing that their loved one is in a safe and secure, yet open, accommodating setting. These residents enjoy structured activities delivered by staff trained specifically in care for those with memory difficulties. Research has proven that routine, familiarity and activity help maximize the quality of life for individuals with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.

Long-Term Care

Long-term care, traditionally called a skilled nursing facility or a nursing home, is a setting for typically older adults who require access to 24/7 nursing care. These residents may have cognitive, medical or physical limitations that require assistance with tasks like going to the bathroom, getting into and out of bed, eating, and taking their medication.

Long-term care is offered at Vincentian Home and Vincentian Marian Manor.

My family had a very emotional day on Monday – my mother-in-law underwent breast cancer surgery, and my baby started his first day of daycare at VCDC. My husband and I knew cooking dinner would be the last thing we would want to do, so we ordered the Honey Stung Fried Chicken meal from the Unconventional Kitchen. Not only was the meal delicious, but it was also so convenient to pick up at daycare. Sometimes a little comfort food can go a long way; our Unconventional Kitchen meal was the perfect end to an otherwise stressful day!

Thanks!
