Residents receive meals, assistance as needed, and are offered a variety of social events to help promote an active and rewarding lifestyle. [/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”What is the Students in Residence program all about?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]This unique intergenerational living opportunity, found nowhere else in the Pittsburgh area, is being offered exclusively to Chatham University Health Sciences Graduate Students. In exchange for a low monthly rent, students agree to spend at least four hours per week with residents, doing everything from educational classes, social outings, parties, tech help and much more.[/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”What is the deadline to apply for the Students in Residence program?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]Vincentian is accepting applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. Up to 30 students can be accommodated at Vincentian Schenley Gardens. Applications will be accepted until all apartments are rented; however, Vincentian recommends that interested applicants apply as soon as possible due to the limited number of rooms and anticipated high demand given the greatly reduced rent and innovative intergenerational living and experiential learning opportunities that this program provides.[/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”When can students move in?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]Students will move in during the month of August at predetermined move-in dates to be coordinated with Vincentian and the tenants.[/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”What is included in my rent?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]All basic utilities including water, electric and gas is included in your rent at no additional cost. Your rent also includes FREE cable television and WiFi![/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”What are the seniors like who live at Vincentian Schenley Gardens?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]Seniors who live at Vincentian Schenley Gardens may need a little help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, using the bathroom, taking their medications, personal hygiene, cooking/eating, getting around and housekeeping. Personal Care residents receive the assistance that is always available, but never intrusive.[/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”Is Vincentian Schenley Gardens pet friendly?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]Yes, pets of up to 40 pounds are welcome. Pets must not be a disturbance to neighbors and other residents. Pet owners must provide a current photo and updated vaccine records for their pets.[/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”Are meal plans available for students living at Schenley Gardens?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]Yes, students may purchase as many or as few meals as they wish. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available seven days a week.[/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”Can you pair me with roommate(s)?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]It is the students’ responsibility to find roommates. All roommates must be enrolled as Chatham University Health Sciences Graduate Students, and must separately apply and be accepted into the Students in Residence program. Studio apartments can accommodate one student. One-bedroom apartments can accommodate up to two students. Two-bedroom apartments can accommodate up to three or four students, based on configuration. All students and roommates that live at Vincentian Schenley Gardens must be part of the Students in Residence program.[/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”What happens if my roommate breaks their lease?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]If any roommate breaks their lease and moves out, it is the responsibility of the remaining roommate(s) to pay the full monthly rent for the apartment.[/su_spoiler]
