What's on the Menu

It’s no secret that food has the power to evoke memory, bring people together, and transport us to other places. At Vincentian, a chef-inspired menu offers residents a diverse choice of meals ranging from locally sourced regional favorites, traditional classics and internationally cultivated selections. In our post-acute care settings, our culinary teams work with a registered dietitian to craft healthy meals that are delicious and beneficial to each resident.

Our Approach

The menus at Vincentian are inspired by the chefs at Vincentian’s Unconventional Kitchen, a commercial kitchen operated out of the former St. Louise convent. The kitchen provides a range of individual meals, family meals, and catering offerings to both Vincentian audiences and the public at large. My family had a very emotional day on Monday – my mother-in-law underwent breast cancer surgery, and my baby started his first day of daycare at VCDC. My husband and I knew cooking dinner would be the last thing we would want to do, so we ordered the Honey Stung Fried Chicken meal from the Unconventional Kitchen. Not only was the meal delicious, but it was also so convenient to pick up at daycare. Sometimes a little comfort food can go a long way; our Unconventional Kitchen meal was the perfect end to an otherwise stressful day!
